Apple Print's core MIS - 27/09/2005 - Tharstern Limited
27/09/2005 Apple Print's core MIS
Berkshire based Apple Print have ordered a 7 user TharsternSQL Management Information System to replace their existing system. The decision follows the continual expansion and successful growth of the commercial printers’ services and customer base which led to more sophisticated needs from their MIS.
John Proudfoot, Managing Director, of Apple Print advised. “Our business is more diverse and complex than 20 years ago and so we have outgrown our previous MIS needing greater detail and information to maintain an overview of our business. We investigated our options and could clearly see that Tharstern was a user friendly and comprehensive system that was suited to handle our requirements.”
John went on to say. “Whilst we generally expect to witness a reduction in labour and strengthened communication with the Tharstern MIS we also identified more specific benefits such as the Production Scheduling module, to maximise use of our equipment, in addition to the rich and varied reporting abilities that we will use for analysis of our sales and marketing efforts. Furthermore, some of the estimating features such as estimate templates or re-useable components, means quotes can be created quickly and to a consistent working method helping us to respond to our customers faster and ahead of the competition. By further assigning customer specific price matrices, we will also be able to produce quotations based on complex contract pricing models.”
